ROME, NY -- This fall, the Rome City School District will be partnering with Mentoring USA to help elementary school-aged children who are struggling in school. The district is looking for volunteers to help mentor the students.
Mentoring USA has been selected as the recipient of a percentage of proceeds from sculptor Leah Poller’s #BED exhibition opening this week at Yellow Peril Gallery in Providence, RI. Poller chose Mentoring USA due to its important mission providing mentors to at-risk youth across America to enable them to achieve their potential.
Mentoring USA is preparing to begin the 26th school year of programs providing youth with adult mentors. Mentoring USA, is a one-to-one, site-based mentoring with a proven track record of success as demonstrated in 100% of the mentees moving on to the next grade level the past three consecutive school years.
