Mentoring USA expands to Newark, NJ
Mentoring USA has partnered with Mayor Cory Booker’s office in the 2007-2008 school year to expand mentoring services within Newark, New Jersey. Mayor Booker has allowed members of his senior staff to take time from their busy schedules in order to mentor youth at the 18th Avenue Elementary School, and the program has been met with great enthusiasm by his staff. Most recently the mentors arranged for the children to visit City Hall and meet with Mayor Booker.
Mentoring USA is also one of the founding members of the Newark Mentoring Coalition. The Newark Mentoring Coalition aspires to grow mentoring for children and youth through advocacy, promotion, marketing and support.

Mentoring USA's global impact: Mentoring Italia
Mentoring USA/Italia Onlus was created in 1998, with the aim of correcting the widespread, worrying phenomena of school drop outs which is the cause of social vices such as: microcriminality, bullying, violence at the stadium and drug addiction.
It was the strong desire of Matilda Raffa Cuomo, its Honorary President, wife of di Mario, former Governor of the State of New York.
The mission is carried out through the educatative programmes “Mentoring USA/Italia”, based on the one-to-one method created by Matilda Raffa Cuomo.

LA's BEST going green with mentoring
HulalaGirls.com's Gaming for a Green Planet launches its pilot
wiggling-cycling program, dubbed “Wiggle Station”, with Figueroa Elementary
School at LA’s BEST Health & Fitness event, held at East LA College on April 5th
2008.
Working with Figueroa Elementary, an LA's BEST after-school demo site
for inner-city kids in Los Angeles, Hulala Girls Wiggle Station shows kids
recycling can be fun, and it's great for the environment.

Mentoring USA Expands to Los Angeles
In collaboration with LA's BEST, a nationally recognized after school education, enrichment and recreation program, Mentoring USA is proud to expand our proven site- based, one-to-one mentoring model to Los Angeles.
By November of 2007, over 20 children participating in LA’s BEST after school programs will be matched with an expertly trained and screened volunteer mentor. No child, family or school pays for Mentoring USA’s services.
Mentoring sessions are supervised by trained LA’s BEST staff at two Los Angeles area schools, providing children with the greatest needs and fewest resources throughout Los Angeles County with the highest possible quality mentoring experience.
This key partnership marks a period of expansion for Mentoring USA as we bring our winning model to more communities, benefiting more children and pioneering innovations in mentoring practices for years to come, while maximizing efforts by collaborating with established organizations on the cutting edge of serving children in need.
