February is Black History Month, and in celebration our partners at Bloomingdale’s will be saluting culture-defining eras and trends of Black style! Bloomingdale’s will hold special events and panel discussions at select stores across the country with famed style experts and leaders to spark a national conversation on the unique history and cultural heritage of Black fashion.
To promote the events, Bloomingdale’s ran an ad in the National NY Times, quoting Whoopi Goldberg’s reflections on mentoring from her entry in the book “The Person Who Changed My Life,” edited by Mentoring USA’s founder Matilda Raffa Cuomo.
For the past 12 years, Bloomingdale’s has teamed up with Mentoring USA by helping the children of New York City’s P.S. 59 #Believe2Achieve their dreams through their employee mentoring program. We are grateful for Bloomingdale’s partnership and for their commitment to community involvement and investing in the future of our children.
