In celebration of National Mentoring Month, Bloomingdale’s has unveiled its annual window display of artwork from its mentoring program at P.S. 59.
Under P.S. 59 art teacher Judy Londa, students drew inspired portraits of their Bloomingdale’s mentors. The portraits are an artful expression of the relationship between the mentor and their mentee. The artwork will be on display on 59th Street near 3rd Avenue until Sunday, January 29, 2017.
Bloomingdale’s volunteers have served as mentors at P.S. 59 since 1996, helping them to dream big and reach their goals through their partnership with Mentoring USA. This year, Bloomingdale’s mentors are working with students to encourage them to have a healthy attitude towards school and each other.
