January 2, 2015 (New York, NY) – Mentoring USA is a proud supporter of National Mentoring Month. This January will mark the 14th annual National Mentoring Month, and Mentoring USA is a major participant in this campaign aimed at expanding quality mentoring opportunities to connect more of our community’s young people with caring adults.

“Mentoring USA has been actively engaged in National Mentoring Month since its inception fourteen years ago. Each day, we will shine the spotlight on our volunteers, our incredible sites where our young people connect with caring adult mentors and our amazing corporate partners who enable us to continue the work we do each and every day,” stated Stephen Powell, Executive Director of Mentoring USA.

“Look out for a lot of activity from Mentoring USA over the next month. We are so proud that ninety nine percent of Mentoring USA mentees move on to the next grade level and we will be taking full advantage of this month-long effort to shine the spotlight on the importance of youth mentoring,” Powell continued.
